Caption On Reverse: "The stylish, Loewy-designed, GG-1 electric locomotive brings a mixed consist of passenger equipment through Harrison, N.J., October 20, 1954. Photo: Edward L. Conklin III Collection." #4937 is a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during April of 1943 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. Note that it's running with the front pantograph in the up position.
