Here is a photo from an article entitled "Antique Special." It was published originally in the January-February 1961 issue of "Pennsy" magazine, page 20. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "Famous PRR relics present a nostalgic sight as they cross the Mahantango Creek on their way from Northumberland to Paradise." Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1223, a D-16SB (4-4-0) "American" built in Juniata during November of 1905 that's presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. |
