Acting as a buffer car, INTX 427133 sits at the front of a northbound oil-on-rail unit moving *north* through Connell (opposite direction of usual flow) - both ends of the consist had unusual buffer car / acting buffer cars. The derailment in Bonners Ferry, Idaho still a couple days away, so not sure why the odd flow of traffic through Connell... Although the drop to near zero rail traffic after the derailment was certainly unusual - which was answered when seeing it in the paper recently about the derailment just now (January 4, 2020) being removed for rail traffic to resume. |
