| Nice example of a 1927 Heisler built 2-truck locomotive originally for Mid-Continent Iron Co, serial #1541. Eventually in wound up at the Ayrshire Collieries (Mines) located in unincorporated Ayrshire, Indiana. Not sure but I believe it's sitting next to sister Heisler #5, 6 or 7. This is an R. A. McLeod photo. There is some debate whether AMIN (early) or AMAX (later) is the proper reporting mark - I've listed both. |
