Hollidaysburg. Here is a detailed portion of an official Pennsylvania Railroad photo that was taken from atop the wooden coaling wharf in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, c. 1915. Shown here is PRR engine #1512, an H-3A (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata during 1892 and retired in May of 1915. It will soon be scrapped. In the early 1950's, a Reclamation Plant (aka scrap dock) was built in the Frankstown section of the Hollidaysburg Yards. William E Burket Collection. |
