WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylsania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona during August of 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #4896, a GG-1 built in Juniata during June of 1940. It has just uncoupled from a westbound passenger train and is heading over to the Locomotive Ready Tracks for another eastbound run. Visible in the background is a portion of the Market Street Bridge. |
