WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylvania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona on 28 March 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #5850 and #5795. Both were built by EMD. #5850 is an EP-20 built in 1947 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. #5795 is an EP-22 built in 1952 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They are departing the Harrisburg Station with a 12-car passenger train bound for Altoona, Pittsburgh, and points West. The time is 4:25 P.M. |
