Doing what is was meant to do - pulling a string of passenger cars down the track- this 1927 Alco-Brooks Hudson looks great. Unfortunately, no date or location was listed for this photo but from the flat land it definitely looks like a Midwest farm area. She faired better than her sisters - she was sold to Louisiana Eastern on 3/31/61 thus surviving longer than most of the others. Only #170 donated to the National RR Museum in St Louis lasted longer. |
