| The Albany Ave tunnel as seen from #490. The signal is for Hartfcrd interlocking. The switch on the other side of the tunnel is where the CNZR's Griffin Line begins. This is where the Highland Line to Waterbury once began. That line was double tracked from here through Hartford station all the way to Newington Jct and it paralleled the Springfield Line to that point. After 1991, the line was abandoned from New Britian out to Newington Jct. |
