In the background is the landmark Hechts Co Warehouse - one of the few art deco/streamline moderne buildings in Washington, DC - currently being redeveloped (as offices I believe). The Hecht Co. was bought by The May Co and their stores became Macy's. The main Hecht Co. store has been rebuilt into offices |
