CSX Q128, lead by CSX # 7 is dwarfed by the 44 story 2 Peachtree St. skyscraper. The 566 feet tall skyscraper was constructed in 1966 and was the tallest skyscraper in Atlanta, and the the south as a whole until 1976 when I was surpassed by the nearby Westin Peachtree Hotel. The train is leaving Hulsey Yard and has just passed the W&A Milepost 0 (this location is the W&A 0.3) which has unfortunatly been hidden underground for years. The city of Atlanta had its origins as the end point of the W&A (Its original name was Terminus) and the city has grown from a few buildings along the tracks at this very site to the metropolis it is today. |
