Earl Hampton	General	Must have been shift change at NE Tower with two cars parked there. I remember one poor operator had all four tires stolen while a SOU inbound sat and blocked his view. Kids tried to steal my car once but I called the SOU police dept and they ran the kids off. That was the only real hazard about working at NE Tower. SSW 5002
The SP-L&N-SCL run-through train from Houston to Jacksonville is passing through New Orleans on the L&N with locomotives from four different railroads: SSW GP30 5002, SP GP35 6535, SCL U33B 1724 and L&N GP30 1049. The lead unit is crossing the Peoples Avenue Canal, and the train is about to cross the main line of the Southern Railway at N.E. Tower.
