Description:  Susquehanna occasionally used their "passenger" E9s in freight service. While not geared for freight service, the use of E-units mixed with SD45s does have a precedent (Erie Lackawanna in the 1970s, for example). Everything to the left of the train in this view has changed. The eastbound passenger platform canopy was demolished a few years after this photo was taken to make way for a wider access road.

Description:  After NS took over part of Conrail in 1999, it took them a while to assimilate the operation. While that was going on, there were some interesting moments. Heres one at QD. Train BIBV, a Binghamton-Bellevue OH train, works with a BNSF, NYSW and NS unit. Cant get much odder than that!!

Description:  With little time left to work on train SY-1, heading South from Syracuse, we backed our train onto the Cinncinatus Industrial and expired on our hours of service. With no recrew called, we tied down the train and waited for the cab to take us back to Syracuse. The sun was setting so before it got dark I took a couple pictures of us parked at South Franklin St.
