Description:  View from the cab of Amtrak P32-8 507 on the westbound Gulf Coast Limited. The train is approaching the west (railroad south) end of the CSX Gentilly Yard on yard track RD2 because freight trains are occupying the main line and the passing track. The two KCS SD's on track RD1 had arrived the previous day on KCS No. 53, which originated in Dallas; and would head back to the KCS later today on No. 54. The three UP units on track S23 came in on a transfer run.

Title:  KCS No. 53/55
Description:  It's the day after Christmas at the Kansas City Southern's West Yard, and a combined train 53 (for the CSX) and 55 (for the NS) has spent the holiday here. In a little while, it will be seperated into two trains which will be sent to the CSX yard at Gentilly and the Norfolk Southern's Oliver Yard. The locomotives are SD40-2's 681 and 665, SD40X 701 and SD40-2 642.
