Description:
Strikingly beautiful Lima built "Texas-type" locomotive appears to be on its maiden voyage through the Hoosier countryside on its way west. Note the "Lima Locomoitve" advertising sign on the side. Specifics - 7/1937, class J, 70" drivers, one of the 5 oil burners from the 10 produced, impressive 310 psi boiler pressure, 27"x34" cylinders, engine weight was a whopping 509,000 lb and tractive effort of 93,302 lb.
