Title:  LIRR Alco RS2 #1520
Description:  Nice action shot taken by F. G. Zahn. The lead loco was by by Alco in 11/1949 (sn 77571) originally as DH 1520. The loco was purchasedby LIRR from DH in 1962. Specs - The RS2 featured a 1500HP Alco12-244, welded car body, fuel tank under the cab, had a round radiator shroud, horn was a 3 chime Nathan-Air chime M3R1 mounted in the center front of the cab, had Automatic Speed Control and steam generators, LIRR added screen covers to the radiator sides. Not sure what the disposition of this loco was after LIRR had it. No exact date was given in the 1960's for the photo so an approximate was used.
